Activities

Non-formal activities at Nyali Study Center

  1. Tutorials

The Center offers tutorials from professionals and senior students, aiming at strengthening the learning skills of the participants, discovering career interests, refining communication and problem solving skills. The scope of these tutorials reaches from undergraduates to graduate students.

  1. Mentorship

At the Center, young men receive the good example and the moral support they need to mature into responsible citizens through a mentorship system. Mentoring provides help from volunteer staff to develop their academic, family, social and spiritual life.

  1. Library

It is impossible to quantify the inspirational influence of good books in the formulation of a life project and in the development of a balanced and stable character. The project for a well stocked library, including access to e-books and e-resources, is under way. It includes a Study Room where people can work in silence.

  1. Clubs

Students are encouraged to form and run Clubs according to their fields of study, inclinations and talents.

  1. Social Responsibility

The Center fosters social responsibility, which includes outreach activities such as assisting the disadvantaged and the sick.

  1. Leisure

Students are encouraged to organize sound entertainment: sports, outings, socials events, movie forum and get-togethers. We think these activities can have a positive impact on the standards of entertainment, a permanent challenge in every tourist destination.

  1. Spiritual formation

This is an essential human need, more so during the formative years of a young man. For this purpose, the Center has a small Chapel. The activities are open to all regardless of their faith and background. It includes talks and retreats. It aims at finding God in everyday life to be able to discharge future responsibilities in an upright manner.
